Project update october 2005
The "new" dive boat is ours !
Although we knew that the visibility in the water would be poor, due to a very windy period, we took the chance, and sailed for the reefs on the 4th of october, we simple had to try the new boat, and couldn't wait.
I was a very nice day, with almost no wind, and sunny to, with air temperature around 16-17 degree centigrade's. Water temperature was 14 degrees at 7 meters.
As predicted, the visibility was low, approximately 2-4 meters, but what was worse, there was a fine layer of silt all over, due to heavy seas in the last 14 days.
We did manage to get some underwater video, mainly some macro of a flounder resting on the bottom.
The boat was simply perfect. The large deck aft, was truly fantastic, with lots of space for the equipment, now we are able to invite diving visitors on board!
We hope that the weather will be in our favor during the autumn, so we can get some more footage from the reefs.
